Today, I released Version 2022.10 of Open Access Helper.
For the main extension the update includes a bug fix, which will hopefully ensure that usage data is correctly collected. It is a minor change, but an important one to me. While these usage signals contain no user identifiable information, I want to make sure they are sent only once a week.
For the iOS version I have already been able to identify an enhancement, based on the few signals I have collected. It turns out that a lot of users paste an entire URL into the search box (core.ac.uk, Europe PMC or OpenAlex) and this update adds a notification to remind users that this is not supported. Hopefully this enhances their experience.
